HELPFUL TIPS FOR ATTENDING
Attending bridal shows is a great way to save countless hours from traveling all over town in search of the perfect vendors to use for your big day. Imagine seeing dozens upon dozens of local and national wedding merchants and having the ability to compare styles, products, and prices in one evening or afternoon. This is every bride’s dream come true! To make the most of your visit, we suggest several tips:
- Wear comfortable shoes and clothing because you will be walking a lot as you visit aisles upon aisles of exhibit booths show-casing the best and latest in wedding planning products and services.
- Bring pre-printed address labels similar to those that you use for normal correspondence. Nearly every vendor will ask for your name or invite you to enter their drawings for special gifts and prizes. Having these labels will save you from having to write your name and address time and time again.
- Make the most out of the time you are investing. Arrive early and plan to spend three to four hours visiting with the various wedding merchants.
- Bring your mother, bridal party, fiancée, or friends to the event. They can help you cover twice as much ground and help share in the planning process by offering their opinions and thoughts about the potential choices of wedding merchants.
- Register for everything you can! Not only can you win fabulous trips, prizes, and give-a-ways, but you’ll have the opportunity to receive free samples and discount coupons.
- Bring your calendar and checkbook with you. You may find one or more vendors that you would like to schedule a one-on-one consultation with following the show. You also might find vendors that are offering "Show Specials" which may require signing a contract and leaving a small deposit.
- Lastly, come prepared with a little decision making in mind. Many of the local vendors such as photographers, florists, and DJs book up on popular wedding dates, so you don’t want to wait too long after the show should you decide to utilize their services.
